Hi I'm Krisztina Neglia and I'm here in Milton. One of the reasons we are here is because a lot of people are moving out of Mississauga and Oakville for affordability. Tammy is my new team member specializing in Milton for the same reasons.

Milton is located 40km west of downtown Toronto, north of Oakville. You have access to highway 401 and the 407. Milton is the fastest growing community, not only in the GTA but even in the golden horseshoe.

Its population is approximately 88,438. To put that in perspective, in 2006, the population was only 55,000. Milton is a very family oriented community and boasts one of the highest household incomes in the GTA. It is served by both the Toronto International Airport and the Hamilton International Airport.

Manufacturing includes auto parts, steel recycling, aerospace and telecommunications equipment. Milton is located on the edge of the Niagara escarpment. It is a UNESCO world bio-sphere reserve.

Milton is home to the Bruce Trail. Five large parks in Milton are operated by Conservation Halton. Rattlesnake Point & Crawford Lake are popular destinations here in Milton. Our vast forest plans and spectacular cliffs attract nature lovers, hikers, rock climbers and skiers. This is what makes the Milton real estate market so attractive to everyone.

The Milton Arts Centre has just recently had a $16 million dollar expansion. It has a 30,000 sq ft. central library. It also has a 20,000 sq ft. visual arts centre. The town will also move forward the expansion of the Milton Sports Centre. It will include two ice-pads, a gymnasium, an elevated walking track and multi-purpose space. The civic facility will benefit the entire Milton community.

Thanks to the signatures of 40,000 residents, the long awaited expansion of the Milton hospital has been approved. It is expected to begin by early 2016 along with the construction of the new Oakville hospital.

The 320,000 sq ft. expansion will accommodate 45,000 emergency visits per year. It will include a larger E.R., a new maternity ward, more surgical patient units and new medical technology and equipment.

Milton has many GO bus routes and is the western terminus for the GO Train.

There is a wide variety of affordable housing in Milton. These 4-story condo buildings usually come in complexes. Sometimes there are 6 or 8 of them together. They are quite common and very popular. You can find the same kind of dwelling in Burlington or Oakville.

Prices for these would start at the low 200's. This is great entry-level home ownership. Due to not very many facilities, their maintenance fees are lower than most condos.

The stacked townhouses can be found within the range of the low 300's. Two story townhouses with basements and a little backyard can be found in the low 300's.

Semi-detached places can be found in the high 300's to the low 400's.

Single detached homes with 1 car garages can be found from the low 400's to the mid 400's. Single detached double-car garages can be found in the high 400's to low 500's. Higher end court locations can be found in the low 600's.

Of course there are always exceptions with more sq ft. and better locations. You will always pay more for these.

Milton has many retail developments taking place. As you can see right behind us [in the video], we have the Longo's that is coming up very soon. I am excited to announce the opening of the outlet malls in Milton.

Tanger Factory Outlets has announced a 1 billion dollar retail development with RioCan. Tanger's first location will be in Milton. Construction will begin in late 2012 and will be ready to shop in 2013.
